Although Virgil and Jeremy only did a small remodel/repair job they were very knowledgeable and prompt. The finished product was much better then I expected and is a vast improvement from the original construction. I will not hesitate to call Virgil and Jeremy for my next project. I will also refer them to my friends and family. Thank you Virgil and Jeremy for the top notch workmanship, it has given us great peace of mind.

Jeremy and Jenni (Jeremy's wife) replaced our roof and did an excellent job. So much so that we had Virgil and Jeremy replace windows upstairs in our home and will soon have the basement windows replaced by them as well. Schauer Construction Inc. began as Virgil’s Remodeling in 1974. Virgil and Lynn formed a Minnesota Chapter S-Corp in 1978 known as Schauer Construction Inc. In 1996, Jeremy joined the family business.

Virgil, Lynn and Jeremy have many combined years of experience in Residential, Light Commercial and Agricultural Construction and Contracting Services. They have experienced both upward and downward trends in construction. Their ability to remain versatile, competitive, dependable and accurate has been a great advantage to the stability and yet growth of Schauer Construction, Inc. They actively promote “Green Building Practices” by doing things such as using siding and windows that are all energy efficient, recycling and many other practices.

Schauer Construction Inc. is proud to be a member of various civic and professional groups such as:

Lynn was the 2009 Secretary of the Crow River Builders Association and was the 2008 Vice President of the Crow River Builders Association. She is also a committee member of the Builders Association of Minnesota for 2008-2011.

Virgil and Jeremy became GAF ELK Certified Roofers in 2008. This is a
certification that a firm earns by successfully meeting and maintaining many
raised standards in the roofing industry. As GAF ELK Certified Roofers they
are able to offer customers multiple benefits such as extended warranties in
materials, labor and interest free financing 6 months.

Schauer Construction Inc. is licensed by the State of Minnesota and has maintained a merit of good standing. They are also fully insured as required by the State of Minnesota and keep current with construction issues and trends by seeking and attending educational classes and opportunities. Some of these classes include Craneboard Educational Seminars and various GAF/ELK seminars.

We offer many unique options and services from complete custom homes and cabins, new roof and re-roof services, re-siding and window replacement, large and small re-models, additions, patios, decks, 3 and 4 season rooms, basement completions, agricultural buildings, pole buildings, both exterior and interior doors, garage packages, trim work, floor installation including wood and laminate, custom cabinetry and counter tops. There is no job too large or small. We are active and instrumental in the design assistance on many projects in the planning and drawing stages of development. One of the more interesting jobs entailed replacing the upper 1/3 of a church steeple that was destroyed by fire from a lightening strike in the heart of Minneapolis. The project presented many new and unique challenges and we were able to deal successfully with all of them!
